Mexican Escape

Fred and I got to get away to Mexico for Fred's brother's wedding. We left the kids with my sisters and my parents with my niece Samantha providing respite care. I was afraid the kids wouldn't want to return home after hearing about all the movies, outings, scavenger hunts, and other fun stuff the kids got to do while we were gone. Jacob lost a tooth - kicked out by his brother Gavin, so the tooth fairy visited too.

Fred and I were in Playa del Carmen, south of Cancun a bit. It was hot and humid, but we were able to tolerate it with help from the pool, swim-up bar, ocean, and cold drinks. Corey and Megan had a beautiful ceremony on the beach and we partied and danced the night away to celebrate with them. We also made a trip to the Mayan Ruins, where it was really hot - with no pool or icy drinks to cool us off. Another excursion took us to Cozumel on a fairy that made many seasick and then out on a motor boat to do some snorkeling. Two things I think are required in Mexico - a swim-up bar and snorkeling, both were covered with a bonus of a sushi bar in the Japanese restaurant - yum!

The guys chilling before the wedding, I believe we were in search of the father-of-the-bride at this time. He was found waiting for Megan at the sushi bar.
