Wyatt's Birthday

Wyatt turned 9 and it was a big day! He got to officially take his "first" communion. He'd actually gone to communion with Adrea last summer, so we missed his actual first communion. Then it took us so long to get his "first communion" celebration scheduled, we'd just let him start taking communion, but we still wanted to celebrate with him!

Later in the day he had is birthday party with his friends.  He celebrated being free from his immobilizer at Sky Zone.

Back to School

We never get great back to school photos. But here are the boys as they head to 9th, 6th and 3rd grades at 3 different schools. I headed back to school for my 4th full year with our school district.

Gav starts later than the rest of us this year.

Glamping

Our annual get away with the Michaels and the Blommels led us to Diamond Lake by Spicer this year. Fred had just purchased 2 used jet skis, so he brought those with for the crew to enjoy. Wyatt had a "superior patella periosteal sleeve injury", what we referred to as a cracked knee cap, so he was in an immobilizer, but kept up as best he could with his peg leg.

Wyatt's Latest Injury

Wyatt landed wrong when jumping off a tramp at gymnastics camp and ended up in an immobilizer for about 6 weeks. The injury was a "superior patella periosteal sleeve injury" - cracked knee cap. He was slowed down a bit by the immobilizer, but still tried to keep up at home and school. He was certainly glad to have it off before his birthday and in time to get a couple games of flag football in this fall.
