We've had a fun and busy March. Let's review:
Weekend of scrapping with my sister Alyssa and her friends. I was not too productive, but it was fun to get away.
Fred and I went bowling with my MOPS group. We were the star bowlers, we would have been embarrassed not to have been since we bring out own shoes and I bring my own ball. I even beat Fred on both games, that is a rare fete.
I took the boys to the Children's museum to check out the dinosaur exhibit. They might have enjoyed the waterworks area better, but it was a fun outing all around and I didn't loose either of them, so that was a bonus. One of Jacob's highlights of the day was seeing where I used to work, I just pointed to the
Bremer Building, I think it used to be the
NCL building when I worked there. He was very intrigued at the thought of me going to work:)
We celebrated
Mackenna's birthday with Corey's family and watched his boys learn how to ride motor bikes. There is not enough safety gear available to make me think it safe enough put my kid on one. I keep my mantra "no motorized vehicles until 16", more so to fend off laziness than for safety matters.
Fred and I had cards with our church group. It was a really fun night and oddly Fred won low - very uncharacteristic of him, but I guess he'll find someway to win if he can't get high. I did win women's high.
Jacob, Gavin and I got to celebrate Jacob's good friend Kyle's 5
th birthday with him. We went to the
MOA and did
Nickelodeon Universe and
Rainforest Cafe. Jacob and his friends had an awesome time. Gavin loved the rides, but was a little
leery of the elephant noises at the cafe. He could not sit close enough to me during the "thunderstorms". We also went to the park on Kyle's
actually birthday for a
Qdoba picnic, playing and cake.
I went to Bingo in Carver with my MOMS Club. I thought I knew small town, but I'd never been to bingo where you win meat. I won a turkey and a ham. I declined to participate in the other meat raffles. I do love bingo though, even if you do win meat.
The boys had their Easter party at church last Saturday. Gavin was too busy playing in the toy room to hunt for too many eggs, but they also got to hear a story, make a craft and make a snack where the "Jesus" marshmallow disappeared while their "tomb" biscuit baked.
Jacob has spring break this week. We went swimming and had friends visit on Monday. Went to a park in Eden Prairie to play and picnic on Tuesday. Then dyed Easter eggs that evening.
Waterpark of America yesterday. Another park
playdate today and lunch at the Pizza Ranch in
Waconia. Tomorrow we have a MOMS Club Easter Egg hunt. The off to
Melrose to celebrate Easter with the families.
