4 Birthday Celebrations is Probably Enough

Gavin who has a January 8th birthday and usually gets shorted on birthday celebrations certainly made up for it this year. It started December 28th with a pool party in Paynesville with fellow December/January birthday cousins Jordan and Riley. Then on his birthday we celebrated at Tommy's Malt Shop. The weekend after his birthday, Rosenbergers and Grandma Nancy came down to celebrate at the Mall of America. Rainforest Cafe, nick Universe Rides, and shopping at Lego Land with Auntie Alyssa was quite the day. Last night, Corey, Megan, and crew came over with presents (more Legos) and the kids battled with nerf guns, swords, and balls all night. Tonight we capped off the celebrations with an outing to Chuck E Cheese with 3 of Gavin's friends. The evening was much more relaxing than I had anticipated. He got more(!!!) Legos (he is loving Legos lately) and they played lots of games and got a few little prizes. So, that's it for Gavin's 7th birthday festivities.

Cancun

Fred and I got to go to Cancun with some friends at the beginning of January. We left the boys at the farm and my mom and sister picked them up a couple days later to save them from all the hard work and fun they were having and to get them back to school.

We travelled with the Michaels and the Blommels to an all inclusive resort. We did a lot of relaxing and sleeping, took walks on the beach, hung out at the pool bar, demanded the resort have bingo when it was scheduled, enjoyed many a drink and lots of food, played cards, enjoyed some of the nightly shows, and just had a very fun time chilling with friends.

Fred even took up reading on the trip - the book Jacob just got done reading.

One night we did wash up and go out to dinner at the Italian restaurant - Jason, Amy, myself, Fred, Nate and Diana.
