So, today we were headed to "Lions Park" in Carver. On the way there Jacob asks, "are there going to be Tigers there?" You would think if there were lions, there would be tigers too right?
The potty training is not going well. Jacob's friends are starting to wear the big boy underwear and I tried to explain this to him. "Kyle doesn't potty in his diapers anymore" etc and his response was "just me?" in a way that he felt so very special. Not the point I was trying to make. Arg. I am taking the week off and we'll try again next week.
Gavin is getting more on a schedule. As much as he can while we take Jacob to school and do other fun stuff. It is so fun to watch him watch Jacob and just crack up at anything Jacob does. Jacob loves it too and feeds off it. I hope they continue to enjoy each other as much as they do now.
Fred was off in Texas for a good part of a week in mid-June, so me and the boys were in Melrose. We were well entertained there. We got to go to Bounce Depot one morning and a mini-circus one afternoon. My parents took Jacob and Isaac to the lake one morning, very brave as Jacob was tormenting Isaac all week by taking away whatever toy Isaac was playing with at the time. We did some shopping in St Cloud. Visited Grandma and Grandpa Middendorf. Then that weekend we had another graduation party, Karilyn's. Then we celebrated father's day the next day at the Middendorf's and got out to the cabin for supper that night.
Fred had one of his poker parties here on Saturday night. The bonus from that whole deal is that now we have a clean garage, sure it may smell a little like cigar smoke, but that just helps mask the dirty diaper smell that is usually eminating from the garbage. On Sunday we got a few lilac bushes and got them planted up on top of our retaining wall, in hopes that they will grow and block off the view of the rest of the hill which is just overgrown with weeds.
Fred just has a few more weeks of summer school left. I can't wait!!!
