43rd birthday with the requisite ice cream cake.

End of Wyatt's Chanhassen basketball season. Kate & I helped coach & were glad for it to be over.

Florida for Thanksgiving

We took the week of Thanksgiving to go to West Palm Beach, Florida. We had great weather - calm and warm. The boys enjoyed the ocean for hours on end with boogie boards and a skim board or just splashing around. The boys also went parasailing on probably our windiest day there. I rode along in the boat and had to ask for a life jacket - those ocean waves are a bit more intense than those at Big Birch. We enjoyed pizza and pie on Thanksgiving and spotted some manatees swim by the beach.

Confirmation for Jacob

The day following the Heroes for Hope party was Jacob's confirmation. (It was also my confirmation guide graduation/retirement party too 😉)  Jacob along with 12 other boys from his group were confirmed after 3 years of classes and outings.

Heroes for Hope

This year's Benefit Bashers Halloween party was called "Heroes for Hope". We raised funds for TreeHouse and gathered non-perishables for the Bountiful Basket food shelf and the Hawk Haul food shelf at the Chaska High school. It was a fun party with lots of great costumes and music. We raised $5,500 for TreeHouse and lots of goods for the food shelves.

Homecoming

Jacob went with a group of friends to his first Homecoming dance. His review - "wierd". "They didn't dance, they just jumped up and down." I was glad he went and had the experience with a great group.

Wyatt's Birthday

Wyatt turned 9 and it was a big day! He got to officially take his "first" communion. He'd actually gone to communion with Adrea last summer, so we missed his actual first communion. Then it took us so long to get his "first communion" celebration scheduled, we'd just let him start taking communion, but we still wanted to celebrate with him!

Later in the day he had is birthday party with his friends.  He celebrated being free from his immobilizer at Sky Zone.
