Kids say the Darnedest - Summer Edition

1. Jacob and Gavin had Church Camp last week and were gone from 9-2:30 each day. On Monday, when Wyatt and I returned to our house after dropping the boys off...
Wyatt asks "Where are my guys?"
I ask "What guys?"
W: "My J-bop and my Gabin. Where are my guys?"
Me: "We dropped them off at church camp."
W: "I wan them here! I want my J-bop here with me. And my Gabin too."
Me: "It's just me and you this week."
W: "No fair!"

2. Gavin and his friend Avery were watching Ice Age 4 in the van - the part where their world is breaking up. Gavin says to Avery, "If that were happening in our real world, I would protect you." Ahhh.

3. Jacob isn't very modest. He's dropping football and focusing on baseball "because I am getting pretty good at baseball."

4. Gavin hops into a friend's car after running from a restaurant in the rain. He says as he's wimpering "I almost got thundered on!"

Fred Mellows to 36

Fred had a mellow birthday weekend. Saturday (his birthday) included a soccer game (for Gav) and baseball practice (for Jacob). We squeezed in a birthday lunch and cake before heading to Melrose for the evening. We hoped to get to the lake, but it was 55 and rainy/cloudy. So we just hung out with family.
