Blog Created & Merry Christmas

I have decided to move from Caringbridge to a "blog". I don't want to continue to use Caringbridge's resources, I think I have long enough, but I want to keep sharing stories and pictures with anyone who wants to view them. So I'll be updating this blog going forward and not the caringbridge site.

We are ready for Christmas! Now I just need the doctor to say I can go to Melrose for the Christmas holiday. I don' t think it should be a problem. I will be 36 weeks pregnant on Friday and he hasn't seen any signs of me going into labor anytime soon, so I should get the go ahead. I also finished up shopping last night. I went to 4 stores and was exhausted, its funny how much more work it is to move around these days.

Jacob has been enjoying the Christmas season. He loves to eat his calendar chocolates and open stocking presents. We haven't been to visit Santa - doesn't look like we'll get there. I don't want the focus to be on Santa anyway. I am trying to help Jacob understand that we are celebrating Jesus' birthday. I think our family of 3 will celebrate on Friday night before we head home to Melrose on Saturday. We'll open our presents and maybe have birthday cake. I just had my birthday and Jacob had been asking when his birthday is. Since May is so far away it was nice to be able to tell him that we get to celebrate Jesus's birthday soon and he'll get presents then.

We are ready for baby here too. As ready as we are going to be anyway. I am scheduled to have a c-section on the 8th of January, so unless the baby decides to surprise us he'll have Elvis' birthday. Now he just needs a name.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
