Gavin's Basketball Season

Gavin's team had a bit of a rough season. Not a ton of wins, but the boys had a lot of fun - sometimes more fun off the court than on.

Trophies earned in White Bear Lake - 3rd, I always say 3rd is better than 2nd because you end on a win!

It was an overnight tournament and Kate Walton made these for the boys.

These were the night owls in White Bear Lake.

Second place win, see someone is not happy with that...

The season did get cut short with the state tournament cancelled due to COVID - so maybe they would have been state tourney champs. I think Gavin is done with travelling basketball, hopefully we can at least get him to play some in-house basketball next year.

Jacob, a real stand out

Jacob got to get back into band mid-way through the school year. He dropped out before school started due to not being willing to do marching band, but the band was so in need of brass instruments that they let him back in for second semester. So, his first concert was in March and a "friend" told him he was supposed to wear a red bowtie. We giggled a lot when we saw the rest of the band was wearing black bowties. And we loved how he took that in stride and wore it proudly.

Jacob tried out for the high school basketball team, but did not make the cut. So him and some friends played with a team at MDB in Bloomington. They played in some tournaments, not winning many games, but one tournament a team failed to show - so they "earned" a trophy.

Noah, Jacob, Brendan, & Jaden
