I was lucky enough to go visit my sister again in Brooklyn. This time I left the husband and kids home and took my good friend Kim with me. We spent the weekend hopping from bar to bus to show to subway to restaurant to bar again. Here are some of the highlights, not necessarily in order.
Lots of time spent waiting on the subway platforms, here we are on our way to the Guggenheim.
A not so common occurrence - we actually got a seat on the way to the Guggenheim.

Monologue rehearsal for the Tonight Show - we almost didn't make it in because of our illegal backpack.
Bus "sometimes" tour - our first guide was the best, we just didn't know it at the time. We kept thinking we might get someone better. They kept getting worse and by the end there was no guiding being done by that tour guide. We had lots of fun making fun of our tour guides though.
At the Guggenheim. After taking in the bizarre art we went out to Lincoln Center area for apps at Boulud and dinner at Smith's.
During our walking food tour with Katz's deli in the background - we didn't eat at Katz's as the line was about a block long. We did eat some great Chinese food, tried knishes, and enjoyed yummy sweet treats.
We also spent time hanging out in Greenwich Village, exploring the Brooklyn flea market, walking the High Line, and testing many a bar stool. We stayed with Adrea and Tim in their "New York" (aka tiny) apartment, but we didn't spend too much time there, so it worked great and we had more money to spend on food.
