It was a busy summer full of soccer, baseball, football, and basketball.
Gavin on the field for his "Black Thunder" soccer team.
Wyatt looking soccer ready.
Wyatt was a soccer star with lots of hustle.
Taking the charge to the net, Wyatt scored many goals this season.
Gavin's team after their last soccer game - it was another hot jamboree day.
Most of the goalies spent their time swinging from the net posts.
The boys did NFL Flag football and we spent many Sundays (12-5)on the hot high school track and turf.
Jacob making a run with the ball.
Then trying the quarterback position.
Wyatt got to be team captain one week.
Another pass by Jacob the quarterback.

Touchdown by Wyatt!
Wyatt in his Patriots jersey.
Gavin also played, but I didn't get any good pictures of him. He also did a couple football camps. Leaving the Chanhassen High football camp one day, we were walking next to a boy and his mom and his mom asked him if "Ty" was the best player on the field. The boy says to his mom "No, there was this boy with white hair who got an interception and touchdown." Gavin looks at me and whispers, "that was me". We both had a good laugh and that fluffed Gav's feathers.
Wyatt did Friday night baseball and Jacob was in the in-house 11s league. His Chaska White team played against other Chaska teams and Chanhassen teams. There was much controversy over rules and bats, but Jacob had some really nice pitching outings and often found himself on base and crossing home. Fred was assistant coach for his team.

Wyatt at 1st base.
We found ourselves at DQ a lot - consoling our losses or celebrating our wins.
After the season, Jacob and Ike try to keep their skills sharp by practicing in Melrose.
They even found a spot at the State Fair to play some wiffle ball.
Gavin's turn at bat.
We even found some time to play some basketball this summer. Jacob went to camp with Carter at Gustavus. It would have been even more enjoyable if he wasn't under the weather, but he and Carter still laugh about how Jacob puked after a coughing fit and it smelled like fruit punch from all the slushies he'd drank. He practiced with some of the A, B & C travelling team kids and played a couple tournaments. Then he played a 3 on 3 league, which was really fun to watch once the boys figured out that they couldn't stop moving in that game. Plus he met up with our Chaska High star Myles Hanson for some shooting pointers.
