We stayed at Ruby's Inn in Bryce Canyon City where we enjoyed a decent supper at the hotel restaurant, the boys swam, & then we had a breakfast buffet (odd in the time of COVID) before heading into Bryce Canyon NP. We didn't know how much hiking would be available as there were some trails closed due to snow, but we were encouraged by my mom to go on and try. So we hiked down some switchbacks, which you know then we also needed to hike back up on the other side. It was a cool hike amongst all the hoodoos and red rock.
Wall Street Switchbacks. Wall Street itself was closed due to snow, but we did the Navajo loop from Sunset Point to Sunrise Pt. And my mom put in about as many steps just trying to get from the parking lot to Sunrise Pt (she was lost and made a few attempts - we found her!).

I really wanted to hike a slot canyon (with the tall walls on each side), so we found Willis Slot Canyon. To get to the trailhead we had to take a minimum maintenance road with steep ditches and crazy turns. I couldn't believe there were about a dozen cars there when we got to the trailhead - I was grateful we hadn't met any on the road in as there wasn't room for 2 vehicles around some of those curves. We hiked on snow and ice in the canyon, nothing terribly treacherous, but we saw a grandpa, grandma, mom and 2 kids hiking in as we were hiking out - the grandpa was carrying what appeared to be a newborn! I can't recommend the hike with a newborn!

On our way to Torrey, UT we stopped at Lower Calf Creek Trail to hike 6 miles roundtrip to see a waterfall. Just Fred, Jacob and myself did this hike as we had to hustle to get back out before sunset. The waterfall was worth it.
