Busy Weekend

We have been busy since Friday. It started out with a field trip to Lowry Nature Center. I finally volunteered to be a chaperon for what I thought would be a lovely spring field trip, but ended up being very wet and a bit chilly. The kids were looking for birds, in the rain. I think we saw more worms. They love the bus more than the field trip anyway.

On Friday night we headed to Melrose, so we could start our Saturday early. I went to the community plant sale with my mom at 8, I took the boys out to my friend Becky's at 9, and then at about 11:30 Jacob and I headed with my mom, Alyssa, Maddie and Isaac into St Cloud to see "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at the Paramount. It was a great show. I told "Joseph" that the last time I saw the show it had Donny Osmond as the star and I thought he was as good. He just gave me a curtious smile and nod, he may have been to know who Donny is.

Isaac and Maddie with "Pharoah".

Then it was back to Melrose to celebrate Jacob's birthday with our families. We had pizza and cake at John Dough's in Melrose and Jacob got lots of fun presents.

We headed back to Chaska on Saturday evening to go to church and Sunday school on Sunday morning and then head to the Twins game. We were going to take the lightrail, but then decided against it. Fearing how it would be after the game with two over tired and crabby kids. So, we ended up getting to the game way too early. By the time the game had started the boys had stripped off their twins gear because they were too hot, it was only 60 degrees out, but with the sun beating down and no breeze, it was nice and warm. It'll be quite hot in the summer, I suggest getting seats in the shade for summer day games.

Here's our family at Target Field.

The view from our seats, 13th row.

The view from the suite. Fred's co-workers invited us up, which the boys appreciated since they were about to melt.

Now I am trying to rest up for Jacob's birthday on Thursday. We'll be doing a friend party at the bowling alley and then just our family of 4 will head to the Mall of America on Thursday evening for Rainforest Cafe and rides - a new tradition we really enjoyed doing on Gavin's birthday.

Your new bangs are super cute. Pharaoh's hair...? Not so much.
