Christmas 2014 started at Grandma Lyd's on the 21st. Adrea and Tim had just gotten into town a couple days earlier, but Dr Bob and family were hosting Katie's family and John & Amanda's family were recovering after baby Eva was in the hospital the week before, so it was just our side at Grandma's. We had a delicious meal and then Grandma had a construction project for the kids as they put together their coloring organizers.

As usual we started Christmas at the Jeske's for brunch and stocking presents.

Then we headed to the Middendorfs for lunch, presents and the dice game.

Wyatt with his ninja turtle from Joel & Julie.
Gavin with Corey & Megan.
Jacob with his erector set from Chad and Mary.
Then it was church time. After church we made a visit to the cemetery to sing Silent Night for Dad, "sleep in heavenly peace" having new meaning to us this year. Then back to Jeske's for supper and a few gifts. A number of games of Scrabble were played over Christmas vacation, Tim joining us as the newest Scrabble challenger. He beat Mom, Adrea and me once.

I headed back to Chaska to work a couple days before the boys came home to open Santa presents and all the rest of their presents.
Jacob received a basketball and pump from Santa. He also got some boys, a new remote control helicopter, pajamas, and games (Madden for Xbox and board games).
Gavin got a football from Santa. He also got some books, a new sled, Minecraft figures, a Stuffie, and a tornado lab.
Wyatt got a new razor scooter from Santa. He also got a remote control car, books, a baby stuffy, and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
This year we made cupcakes for Jesus' birthday. We only had enough cupcakes to spell "Happy Bday God".
