Mostly Christmas Programs

I turned 37 on the 2nd of December. It was a wintery day, so we stuck close to home, but made it to Wyatt's gymnastics class and Cuzzy's for supper. Of course, there was the required ice cream cake from the DQ. Doesn't matter how cold it is outside, ice cream cake is still delicious.

Gavin was a donkey in the church's pre-k thru 2nd grade Nativity performance. His lines were "Hee-haw" and "Something exciting is sure to happen." which he said with the rest of the donkeys.

Jacob was "Cane" in the 3rd-5th grade performance of "Christmas Hang-ups". He had a couple lines and did lots of singing and some dancing. Grandma made his costume, which he got lots of compliments on. Jacob put in a lot of ours of rehearsal starting out in October and having 3 hour rehearsals on most Sundays and then some extra rehearsals during the week. All that work paid off and the performance was awesome.

All the Ornaments (characters) from the musical.

Cane with his family.

Apparently Wyatt and Dre did some goofing off during all time together with both those Christmas programs in one day.

Wyatt had his Christmas program at his school too. His group of 3-5 year olds sang about 6 songs and then we ate cookies. Wyatt did some singing and some actions, but most of the time he was turned around in his chair watching the girls behind him. At one point he was so busy watching those girls he fell off his chair. Priceless. This is Wyatt's friend, Weston. We hear lots about Weston when he talks about school.

Gavin got to bring Special K home with him the week before Christmas vacation. Special K went everywhere with him, including looking at Christmas lights. This bear gets to visit each kids home for about a week at a time. The kids love it, the parents cringe, especially after all the letters home about lice in the classroom. (shiver)
