Back to School

Yeah for back to school! Summer flew by and we all survived, but we were all ready for a break from each other.

 

Jacob started 2nd grade on September 4th. He has Mrs Kocka this year and a number of friends in his class, so it looks likes its going to be a fun year. Its going to be lots of reading (20 mins a night) and homework most nights, so let the battles begin.

Gavin went back to preschool on September 10th. He has his same teachers as last year - Ms Anne and Ms Debbie, but he is staying for full days (9-3) Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Hoping to ramp him up for full-day kindergarten next year.

Wyatt got to start ECFE on September 14th. This is his first "school" experience and he seemed to love it. I knew a few of the moms in the class, so I loved it too. We seperate for a while during the class and when we returned he was sitting listening to "Brown Bear" very attentively - so cute!

I also started school this fall - but no one took my back to school photo. I am taking an on-line Calculus class thru Normandale Community College. My first on-line class and my fellow "classmates" are mostly post-secondary high-school kiddos. I am twice their age! I am just slightly nervous about this whole adventure towards an Actuary degree, which will take 4 years and a whole lot of work. Wish me luck!
