Happy 80th Gene!

Fred and his siblings went down to Arizona and surprised his parents for Gene's 80th birthday. They had a great time and really did surprise Gene & Mary Ann.
Corey and Fred rented a Mustang convertible.

Hudson Hot Air Balloon Affair

While Fred was on a guys weekend in Wisconsin, the boys and I also ventured over to WI to check out Hudson's Hot Air Ballon festival. There was a bit of a breeze, so it was up in the air if the balloons would launch and because of that wind only a couple ended up going up. Cool to see, we'd go back to see it again.

And of course, since Fred was gone, we got a bunch of snow. Gavin went undercover apparently to help out. Wyatt took the opposite approach and went out in shorts and a t-shirt.

Tuscon with Mom & Adrea

Adrea, Mom and I escorted Margie down to Tuscon. Neither Dre or I wanted mom to go on her own with Margie and we couldn't decide which should go - so we both went. We drove up to Mt Lemmon and found a Cookie Cabin. We took a city tour and got some tastes of the city. Ventured up to Sentinel Peak/ A Mountain - we went back to A Mt so Dre could get a good run in one morning. We enjoyed time hanging out and getting in a couple Scrabble games.

Gavin turns 12

Parenting fail. No go pictures from Gavin's birthday. It was a Wednesday. There was school, confirmation, and basketball practice. Not too much time for pictures and celebration. There were cupcakes with confirmation friends and team mates. Fred snapped a pic, so this is what we have...

Gavin did save up / gather his money from Christmas and Birthday and purchased a VR system.

Florida for Thanksgiving

We took the week of Thanksgiving to go to West Palm Beach, Florida. We had great weather - calm and warm. The boys enjoyed the ocean for hours on end with boogie boards and a skim board or just splashing around. The boys also went parasailing on probably our windiest day there. I rode along in the boat and had to ask for a life jacket - those ocean waves are a bit more intense than those at Big Birch. We enjoyed pizza and pie on Thanksgiving and spotted some manatees swim by the beach.
